How to remove the seal — step by step
Step 1 — Freeze the jar Place the jar with the lid on in the freezer for 1 hour. The cold will stiffen the resin and make it release slightly from the seal.
Step 2 — Unscrew the lid Take the jar out of the freezer and unscrew the lid. Remove as much of the loose seal as possible.
Step 3 — Warm water and knife Hold the jar under direct hot tap water. The heat will soften the resin where the seal is stuck. Use a sharp knife to carefully scrape off small bits of the resin where the seal is still attached. Work slowly around the entire edge.
Step 4 — Done Discard the resin that was scraped off along with the seal. The rest of the product in the jar is unaffected and ready for normal use.
